Federal and State General Elections and Graysville Municipal Election
November 5, 2024
To the voters of Rhea County, TN, notice is hereby given that a Federal and State General Elections, and a Graysville Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., in all appropriate voting precincts in Rhea County, TN, for the following offices:
FEDERAL AND STATE GENERAL ELECTION
President and Vice President of the United States 4-year term
United States Senate 6-year term
United States House of Representatives (4th Congressional District) 2-year term
Tennessee House of Representatives (31st TN House District) 2-year term
Independent candidates for President of the United States must file their nominating petitions with the State Election Commission in Nashville not later than 12:00 NOON, Central Daylight Savings Time, Thursday, August 15, 2024.
GRAYSVILLE MUNICIPAL ELECTION
Mayor 4-year term
City Commissioner (four seats) 4-year term
- Individuals interested in running for these offices may pick up qualifying petitions at the Election Commission office during normal business hours.
- Qualifying deadline for these offices will be at 12 NOON, THURSDAY, August 15, 2024.
- The withdrawal deadline will be 12 NOON, THURSDAY, August 22, 2024.
- The last day to register to vote in person or by mail (postmark) for the November 5, 2024, election will be Monday, October 7, 2024.

The office is open Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The office will be closed in observance of the following holidays:
Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024
Columbus Day, Monday, October 14, 2024
NOTICE TO ELDERLY VOTERS OR VOTERS WITH DISABILITIES
Any elderly voter (age 60 or older) or voter with a disability, whose polling place is inaccessible, may vote early, by absentee ballot, or at the election commission office on Election Day.
If voters choose to vote at the Election Commission office on Election Day, they must submit an affidavit to the Election Commission office no later than Saturday, October 26, 2024, stating that their designated polling place is not accessible. Photo ID Requirements for All Voters
Tennessee state law requires all voters voting in person to present a Federal or a State of Tennessee-issued photo identification containing the voter’s name and photograph.
